Aliante station casino and hotel

We always like to see places we are familiar with for food. Small food court with the right mix of food. Whole pool area was beautiful with cabanas, beds, tables and umbrellas, food, drinks and music. They offered some jazz nights by the pool. Frig and self adjusting air/heat worked well and were quiet. Room as modern, bright, nicely decorated. We'd played on the excellent golf course on a previous visit when the weather was cooler. We have tried getting in here a couple times. If you want to impress your spouse, girlfriend or ?, stay here. The cost of a room would be 3-4 times as much on or near the strip. High ceilings, marble everywhere free valet parking, pool etc, etc. The rooms are cheap and the lap of luxury! Big flat screen, comfy beds, a telephone next to the throne in the bathroom and smoke free floors. WRONG! Anyhow that is to the travelers advantage. The developers thought that the city would build out this way and they would already be up and running. Unlike the strip with all the lights and glitz, this place has a casino, 3 good restaurants and is 98% smoke free! From what I gather from the staff, the Aliante was built in 2008, just as the recession was starting. This place is out in the middle of nowhere! And to me, that is a good thing. The goal was to fly in to LV, rent a car, rest and drive to the Grand Canyon for 3 days then back to LV for 2 days. Stayed here after flying in from Richmond.
